Look, I know air fryers don’t need any more coverage. At this point, you’ve already decided whether you’re for or against them. That said, when I discovered you can hard boil (or soft boil, if that’s your thing) eggs without actually boiling water, it was a revelation.
250° for ~15 minutes then immediately plunge the eggs into a bowl of ice water
couldn’t be easier, and then I’ve got little protein snacks for the work week

It’s quicker, handsfree and most importantly, LESS washing up!!! I whisk my eggs in a little airfryer dish with cottage cheese and whack it in. Then get on with whatever morning task while it cooks

I can produce very few things in the kitchen and used to turn out the grossest hard boiled eggs. But, I’ve finally learned the way to do it impeccably and wanted to share here: boil the water first without the eggs. Once boiling, use a spoon to drop your egg(s) in (this part is important since otherwise the egg will crack). Set a timer for exactly 7 minutes and cook for no more no less. Then drain the eggs and immediately soak them in cold water (add ice cubes if you have them) to make them easier to peel. And voilà, you’ve made non-gross hard boiled eggs and have an easy, high-protein lunch or lil snack ready in your fridge (eat within 2 days for best experience).

i am at a point where i consistently never get the weird grey ring around the yolk… thats how i know i’ve perfected the art…
let your eggs come up to boil with the water and then turn off the heat… 10 minutes later, dunk them into an ice bath or a constant rotation of cold water if you dont have ice… stops the cooking and voila you have perfectly boiled hard boiled eggs… ta da !

I just watched “Face/Off” for the first time a few days ago and feel like I’ve filled a void in my life that I wasn’t even aware of. If you like a heavy dose of action in your comfort cinema, I highly recommend. Like most movies from the 90s, not everything has aged well but cast aside your modern judgments for a bit and just enjoy Nicolas Cage doing The Most.

An elite device in the kitchen and useful beyond fish. The thinness, combined with its long flared shape, helps you get under anything, no matter how delicate. If you’ve ever experienced the despair of your food tearing apart mid-flip, look no further.

Better food and beaches than the Cyclades islands most people flock to and less expensive overall. There’s plenty for history buffs (Knossos Palace) and old town Chania is beautiful and romantic to walk around. I recommend renting a car to drive around and explore (just get an international drivers license before you leave) or else there’s public transit. The tavernas also give complimentary dessert and a shot of raki after dinner. This might be customary throughout the rest of Greece also, but the hospitality in Crete was outstanding. If this one big island isn’t enough for you, you can day trip to other smaller surrounding islands or little coastal fishing villages via ferry. 10/10 destination, seriously look into it
