Online nutrition program that’s already changing my life and helping me identify the foods that trigger me (spoiler: many fruits and vegetables are tough on the digestion even if you’re ā€œeating healthyā€). I use the app to record my food and symptoms in tandem with weekly Zoom meetings with a dietician, although I believe that you can just use the app for free (incidentally, the sessions are fully covered through my insurance). I hate the idea of logging food, but it’s been super easy and non-intrusive, plus there’s something about seeing things laid out in this format that makes it very easy to identify the problem, e.g. if I eat onions I wake up feeling bloated the next day.

im trying to curb my takeout consumption (itā€˜s real bad) and my nutritionist recommended this service to me last session. i only had one meal but im happy to report its not like factor meals that are all mush šŸ˜‚ the portions are actually plentiful and the meal i had today was pretty good. im excited to see if this will help or if this is just another add on to my bad spending habits.

the biggest rec i can offer this app (that i'm still newly navigating) is this specific book, the OG book about intuitive eating. please read it carefully if you've struggled with food (like me - i've had all the eating disorders)
i took to it easily, maybe because i already had experience with all sort of food issues, and it tied so many loose ends for me. i went from being a sugar fiend to being able to eat a piece of chocolate, leaving the rest of the bar behind and naturally craving sooo many veggies and fruits. give the book a try!

I am trying to get 20-30 plant foods in per week but I be busy as fuck and the thought gets overwhelming so here’s what I’ve come up with…
I take 10 minutes to chop up three days worth of some raw veggies that I like to eat on the side of whatever protein.
what is ā€œwhatever proteinā€? Cheese squares, cold cuts, cottage cheese, lentils/beans/any legume, meat from a rotisserie chicken or a pot roast that I prepped (also so hands off and easy).
to further boost my plant intake, I have a mix of a bunch of random nuts and seeds that I can rely on.
for something sweet, I plop a few scoops of Greek yogurt into a container and throw frozen berries and mango on top.
EASY. Nourished.
I am allotted Diet Coke as well, I’m not a sadist!!!???!!?!?
