what’s your budget range? Edit: Iā€˜m a big proponent of Canada Goose—but they did stop using real wolf fur in recent years. I’d also recommend Boden or Patagonia for lighter weather. The North Face has some good products you could check out like their HMLYN down parka or McMurdo line. REI usually has some good downs too, but I’m pretty sure they’re rotational and differ based on region. I’ve spent most of my adult life so far all over the east coast and my advice is that if you’re looking for an all-in-one option, yeah, the parkas are good. But I would also recommend having some lighter down jackets, at least one pullover sweater, and some layering, as well. As for being current college student, I’ll let you know that sometimes, you just say ā€œfuck itā€ and go out in your hoodie and a beanie or ear muffs when it’s -10°F and deeply regret it after šŸ˜‚. Also scarves/neck gaiters MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. ALSO WOOL SOCKS. And though I can’t speak on these brands as of late, my friends recommend LL Bean, Columbia, Lole, and Alpha Industries.

thankful for my one huge jacket for keeping me warm without needing a million layers.

this is worthy of celebration:Ā the lack of video—autoplay video, noisy inane video, panicky video, algorithmic, dumb video, rabbit hole video, any video—on pi.fyi is a good thing
