what’s your budget range? Edit: Iā€˜m a big proponent of Canada Goose—but they did stop using real wolf fur in recent years. I’d also recommend Boden or Patagonia for lighter weather. The North Face has some good products you could check out like their HMLYN down parka or McMurdo line. REI usually has some good downs too, but I’m pretty sure they’re rotational and differ based on region. I’ve spent most of my adult life so far all over the east coast and my advice is that if you’re looking for an all-in-one option, yeah, the parkas are good. But I would also recommend having some lighter down jackets, at least one pullover sweater, and some layering, as well. As for being current college student, I’ll let you know that sometimes, you just say ā€œfuck itā€ and go out in your hoodie and a beanie or ear muffs when it’s -10°F and deeply regret it after šŸ˜‚. Also scarves/neck gaiters MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. ALSO WOOL SOCKS. And though I can’t speak on these brands as of late, my friends recommend LL Bean, Columbia, Lole, and Alpha Industries.

Earmuffs, thermal layer pants and long sleeved shirts like the ones from Uniqlo or Costco (I will double up and wear two extra layers under a sweater and coat and pants if it’s really cold), scarves, gloves, fleece lined tights, warm socks, boots with warm Sherpa lining or something, obviously coats

TNF is a BFD in the outdoors space, but its real special sauce comes from translation. This checkered out, mohair-alike down parka mixes the brand’s heritage alpine DNA with the panache of retro suiting for a frickin’ 70s blow out. So much high-end outerwear is emotionless: black GORE shells, slick matte surfaces.Ā  This is the opposite. It’s a lumpy, textural oversized parka that just reads ā€œwarm.ā€ If you’re on the Beatniks and Goreckis wave, this is your heater.

And it was hard. Unbelievably so. And it burnt me out. It was a good experience, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Well, for one, mechanical clocks sound so much better—the ringing of perfectly chiming metal is far more pleasant to the ear than whatever Apple sounds we can’t even differentiate from a phone call. And it’s much more satisfying to turn off the mechanical alarm than telling Alexa: ā€œalexa. Alexa. Alexa! ALEXA SHUT THE **** UPā€¼ļøā€¼ļøā€
