One of my favorite little things that I like to do for myself every so often is to go down a "Spotify rabbit hole." Discover weekly, random old playlists made by high school me, peeking at friends' listening activity, all of it. I find the coolest music ever and it makes me really excited. When I first heard the song What's it like in the sunshine... I knew this was for me. The whole album makes me feel really vibrant and alive. Sounds like summer. So it's perfect.

Sun is out, spring is here, life is looking green again. Time to listen to music made for gremlins in the woods.

a mixtape of melancholic, beautifully weird folk/art/indie tracks from the 60s-90s that goes perfectly with a morning coffee / walk, or an evening wind down. compiled by DJ Sundae and Julian Dechery. they found all these private press records, licensed them and put them out on streaming/physicals! my personal standout tracks - I So Liked Spring, Cold Cafe, I Remember

I do this every single day without fail. I think there’s something so romantic about breakfast, sensual. Even more so if you enjoy the delicacy by yourself. Setting the intention for the day with the bright sweetness of fruit, the leafy comforting taste of greens, protein etc. I’ve been trying to find liquid alternatives for my caffeine addiction - grapefruit juice has oddly been a game changer. The citrus. The slight bitter undertones. All made and sourced with love. My favorite part of the day.

Something that Iā€˜ve been doing as of late that has kept me grounded to the truest sense of the word. We as humans have our ā€œthingsā€ - the items, objects, devices, whatever - that help us navigate our everyday routines. I like to give importance to these things, they’re tools that are propelling me forward each and every day. For me, it’s my carabiner of keys, my wired earphones, my black belt that keeps my pants up, my dented water bottle that provides me with the upmost hydration. It’s kind of going to back to the it’s-the-little-things-mentality. Try it out, see what power comes from your tools.
