I hiked Mount Washington yesterday and it felt really good and empowering to just do something for myself by myself. Sometimes you just gotta fuck off to the forest and mountains on your own All that other bullshit in your life just clears away from your mind as you are present and focused on the now. Being in nature on your own and admiring the beauty of your surroundings, being active and taking on a challenge, it feels so restorative despite the physical exhaustion lol

Connecting with the earth is my favorite way to process my emotions and practice gratitude. Even when the trees are bare, there is so much beauty left to witness.

pack ramen kinda sucks,, i‘ve been making this instead and it rocks sooo much harder. its also EXTREMELY easy, takes maybe 10 minutes of prep. 2 packs of ramen 1 thinly sliced scallion 2 tablespoons thai chili sauce 3 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1/4th tsp of garlic powder red pepper flakes mix all the liquid ingredients and the garlic powder in a bowl, toss the unseasoned ramen in the sauce, garnish with scallions, and add red pepper flakes to taste. sooooo good. so easy. love you all!

by Josh T. Peterson, 2011 heard this album for the first time yesterday and i was really blown away. really inspiring guitar work, evocative lyricism, and just a deep melancholic, longing atmosphere throughout the albums hour long runtime. Peterson formally was the vocalist for Lift to Experience, a short lived post rock / shoegaze band from texas who released the high concept, biblically inspired album the Texas-Jerusalem crossroads in 2001. one of my favorite albums, and listening to his solo stuff really cemented him as one of my favorite songwriters. even if you typically don’t like the country-adjacent singer songwriter stuff i’d highly recommend checking this out.
