I go to concerts (especially local shows cause they’re cheap), vinyl nights at the local bar, volunteer at a non profit, karaoke nights and open mics (you don’t have to sing at all open mics, can do poetry or perform scenes from plays etc), some nights just put on a record and lie on the floor. Just whatever interests you is worth doing, 20s are for figuring out what you like in life.

because sometimes your friends don’t like the same music as you, and that’s okay. take a book and be all mysterious; or make friends with everyone around you. have fun with it, live your life without fear of embarrassment! p.s. here’s a picture from the suede concert i went to alone yesterday :))

I loveeee doing this you can just focus on the music and why you’re there to begin with and sometimes you even make new friends with similar interests (the artists!) and I love how music brings people together I love concerts

GOING IN BLIND

My god everything is experienced better this way. Stop looking at guides, walkthroughs, endings explained (my least favorite), even the blurbs on the back. Such a rare opportunity in this time to go into something without knowing anything about it, yet so rewarding. To be pleasantly surprised or blown away, to have no idea what’s happening, to find that you really didn’t like it, an opinion formed on your own.. nothing is more valuable
