met an artist i’ve listened to for 7 years who had a lot of influence on who i am and how i present myself. had a total loser moment and started panic babbling and then SAULUTED THEM. obvi in a joke way but the interaction could not be saved. almost went home right there but stuck it out bc i spent $30 on the ticket.

I met both the bands and got free postcard and stickers, turns out I was standing next to one of the guitarist’s girlfriend and I watched them get into a fight after the set. it was a perfect night.

managed to get will call tickets for mekki’s show last night. got the feeling that mekki and i may be kindred spirits, on account of our fucked up childhoods and debilitating ocd. left the show with a huge smile on my face and woke up this morning w a sore jaw.

i just went to my first punk show in my city, since a friend of mine’s band was playing and he invited me. it was at 8pm at a coffee shop, and i felt very out of place at first among these people who are so much more incredibly cool than me. then, the music started, and i realized that i was headbanging just like everyone else. girls asked me to hold their things when they went to mosh, and i helped people up off the floor when they fell in the pit. it was a very unifying experience and i met lots of real weirdos (which i love). highly recommend
