managed to get will call tickets for mekki’s show last night. got the feeling that mekki and i may be kindred spirits, on account of our fucked up childhoods and debilitating ocd. left the show with a huge smile on my face and woke up this morning w a sore jaw.

this is ur sign to go to that small gig of that artist u don’t listen to but are interested in cause i saw buck meek last night and it has unironically changed my brain chemistry, such a beautiful show, the band chemistry was so wonderful to see and their stage presence is unmatched !! and i wouldn’t have known if i convinced myself that i had to know every song to see them. such a vibe, just swayed and got lost in the sounds 🥁🎟️

very grateful these days to find myself in the position to put on shows for artists i look up to and get to know them (for the better or the worse). has been a chaotic year so far after joining this team but i wouldnt want to be doing it with any other people! heres a pic from our nighttttt

i just went to my first punk show in my city, since a friend of mine’s band was playing and he invited me. it was at 8pm at a coffee shop, and i felt very out of place at first among these people who are so much more incredibly cool than me. then, the music started, and i realized that i was headbanging just like everyone else. girls asked me to hold their things when they went to mosh, and i helped people up off the floor when they fell in the pit. it was a very unifying experience and i met lots of real weirdos (which i love). highly recommend

went to the hammer last night for the opening of the alice coltrane exhibition. the lined wrapped around the block but after a hour or so of waiting we got in. between the live dj, drinks, and dancing i kind of felt like i was at the club but in the best way. idk it’s cool to see art bring people together.
