i listen to pc hyperpop noise music not in an edm bro psytrance lower way but in a postmodern, sophiesque, agcookian, aitchisonian way that serves as a commentary on the conditions of a hypercapitalist society and the moral and sonic values of those living within it
been listening to some warp acts; squarepusher, boards of canada, afx… picked up radiohead a couple days ago; idioteque is stuck in my head. thom hits those notes…
insert shameless plug here, my own stuff too. im weirdbloom. on soundcloud and you can find me on nina protocol too. i dont release on streaming that much…
Idk, I’m just tired of pop music girlies and need to listen to TV static, artful feedback, distorted drones, dissonant layers.
Kim Gordon’s SYR5, Glenn Branca’s The Ascension, Black Dice’s Broken Ear Record. Am I crazy for loving this?
David Lynch understands the blend of a country twang with EDM distortions and sounds. As emblematic on his eclectic and masterful track “Strange and Unproductive Thinking,” he has a lot to say, much of it incoherent, in ways relatable and all the more interesting with a crunchy and dance-able beat. I want to hear that at a party, as it best encapsulates the true essence of a party- communal existentialism.
