especially when you try it out with friends. i recommend getting some cheap air dry clay and acrylic paint and creating little creatures and clowns and trinket trays. whatever you sclupt takes a day or two to dry, so you not only have a new thing you made with your own hands, but something to look forward to as you wait to paint it. it get's your brain off of the ick for at least a little bit. Hereโ€™s some stuff my friends and I made!

i use apps (the Opal app) to help cut down screen time, which somewhat works, but I find that crafting helps me the most. I learned to crochet in the past year and it's amazing to do in front of the TV, where normally I'd sit and move my eyes between 2 different screens. I also take it on planes, trains, etc., anywhere where I could scroll endlessly while waiting. Also is nice to craft before bed while perhaps listening to music or a podcast. The world is your oyster! Other crafts you can do: knitting, embroidery, needlepoint, drawing, painting, handbuilding

Honestly just find some kind of activity where you can regularly feel accomplished. For me that's climbing bc you get to achieve sth each session (new routes! new grades!) or drawing as I 'achieve' sth each time I finish a drawing. Alongside that, make sure you shower and clean your spaces regularly + dressing up every now and again! Just making sure you keep feeling and treating urself as a real human
