who are you when you're not performing for people? try new clothes, new music, new hobbies. Visit new places, try new things and do it all alone. You'll start carving out the person you are. What sticks will stick and what doesn't doesn't. The best part is that you have no pressure to be anybody you're not. You will most likely die still finding who you are. What a joy!

Who are you when you aren’t acting the way your friends expect you to? Free from that possibly subconscious pressure what do you do? You can’t exist in a vacuum because we are human beings and socially conditioned (not always a bad thing!) but you can get close when you change up your situation. Observe yourself closely.. where is the divergence between what you think of yourself and what you actually do? Would you have done the same thing in front of your friends? Your parents? Personally I am wildly different with my family, friends, and alone. I like the solo version of myself the best, so I try to spend as much time with him as possible. This isn’t to say that who you are with others isn’t who you are, that’s an important part of you too!! But if you’re looking to understand yourself as an individual then you need to understand as many aspects as you can. Most people do not do activities alone so I think it is a great place to start.

Honestly the best way to reinvent yourself is just to live. Being in a new place with new people will expose you to so many amazing things you never would have been aware off if you stayed at home. Big tip is to just try things, figure out what you like without the pressure of feeling like you have to keep up a performance! try new outfit styles, new hair do, new clubs and hobbies just get out there and experience everything! It’s freeing I can promise you. Slightly scary at times but the best thing I was ever told was feel the fear and do it anyway.

noticing life and slowing things down has helped with every stress my body has, it's also got me going on walks to places i've never been before. I go alone and do walkie talkies sometimes too, which is like an audio journal log. i also get some cool pictures out of it.

waking up at 7am today has been a painfully dreadful existence, and i've only been awake for 52 minutes. How do people do this?
