I'm personally a very sentimental person, so, every so often I take a good look at my jewelry. You see, I am composed of everything that people have gifted me. From necklaces I have gifted myself, to rings my parents have bought me, to bracelets my ex has made me. Nonetheless, I like to remember each and every memory attached to these pieces of jewelry, they remind me of who I once was, how much I have grown. Here's to new beginnings, old endings-- and everything in between.

Every piece I wear has some sort of sentimental story backed behind it (my bracelets/rings/necklaces/some of my earrings). For me, wearing sentimental jewelry serves 3 purposes: 1) Bringing life to pieces that have been given to me with love 2) Carrying my loved ones wherever I go 3) Prevented me from making impulsive jewelry purchases (because fast fashion jewelry doesn't feel the same way a gift does) Ig the only exceptions I make in fast fashion jewelry is earrings, but only bc I need boring earrings for corporate-wear lol

I have two small, stackable silver rings with children’s names engraved on them. I got the first one right after I returned to work with my first. It was really hard leaving him, so I got it as a comfort for myself. Naturally, I got one when my second was born as well. I didn’t realize how attached I was until I briefly lost them at work. I never take them off, but I did to help a kid and they fell out of my pocket. I was panicked even though they’re replaceable. They’re the only jewelry I wear 24/7 (aside from my daith). My wedding ring set is really important to me, duh, but my husband took a silversmithing class through the park district to make it and it’s just so perfectly me. I also have a gift for finding 4 leaf clovers, so I keep those around. At this point I always have rocks and/or crystals on me. It’s fun grabbing a jacket or bag I haven’t used and finding what I’ve stashed 😂

I really like to buy myself some jewellery when I’ve got through something tough or made myself especially proud — you don’t need excuse to buy yourself a tiny piece of glittered armour but there’s something special about looking down at your hands and seeing those moment reflects back at you

That’s true camaraderie in a world full of crazy drivers. Love to see it

Yea yea I know that's the most corny, most BORING answer but it's the truth. Today, my friends and I drove 30-45 mins just to go to wingstop. Why? Because we had never tried it before. It was a long endeavor, but now I will always have those memories with me. Don't be afraid to try things, especially the stupid little things; I find that those are the ones worth living for.
