I have two small, stackable silver rings with childrenâs names engraved on them. I got the first one right after I returned to work with my first. It was really hard leaving him, so I got it as a comfort for myself. Naturally, I got one when my second was born as well.
I didnât realize how attached I was until I briefly lost them at work. I never take them off, but I did to help a kid and they fell out of my pocket. I was panicked even though theyâre replaceable. Theyâre the only jewelry I wear 24/7 (aside from my daith). My wedding ring set is really important to me, duh, but my husband took a silversmithing class through the park district to make it and itâs just so perfectly me.
I also have a gift for finding 4 leaf clovers, so I keep those around. At this point I always have rocks and/or crystals on me. Itâs fun grabbing a jacket or bag I havenât used and finding what Iâve stashed đ

Every piece I wear has some sort of sentimental story backed behind it (my bracelets/rings/necklaces/some of my earrings). For me, wearing sentimental jewelry serves 3 purposes:
1) Bringing life to pieces that have been given to me with love
2) Carrying my loved ones wherever I go
3) Prevented me from making impulsive jewelry purchases (because fast fashion jewelry doesn't feel the same way a gift does)
Ig the only exceptions I make in fast fashion jewelry is earrings, but only bc I need boring earrings for corporate-wear lol

Everyday i wear a ring that was my mum's, one that was my grandma's and one that belonged to the woman I am named after. People ask me why I wear them considering they are so precious. Why wouldn't I? Now, I carry with me the energies and love of 3 incredible women- how dare I even consider keeping them in a box?

For my 18th and 21st birthdays my parents each got me a ring. I wear them every day like I told them I would. they are scratched and chipped and definitely need cleaned.
I always think about that post about how hands are so important and how itâs wonderful that we give up the mobility they provide to hold onto each other. These rings are like me holding my parents hands every day.

In Tarot, The Fool is the first card in the Major Arcana, which represents the life cycle. These cycles we are continuously going through in our lives, not just once. The final card of the Major Arcana is The World (which I have tattooed very large on my thigh), which signifies the completion of a cycle and natural ascension into the next. We are then thrust back into the Fool, with a bit more wisdom.
The Fool as an archetype is one of joy, curiosity, spontaneity, and trust. The Fool is pure of heart, knowing that the Universe has got their back. This innate trust allows The Fool to be playful, to take risks, and truly believe everything will work out. The more we go through life and experience loss, grief, heartache, trauma, the harder it becomes to embrace this energy. Iâve found that as healing goes on, just as itâs shown in tarot, we return to this natural state of being. We start off as The Fool when we are wee little babies, and if we are lucky can return there a few cycles at a time, with more wisdom gained each time. Â
The goal of The Fool is to have positive experiences, maybe for fun, maybe to grow. There is an acceptance with The Fool, a kind of âthis is what is, how can I make this work well for me?â Everything works out for The Fool because they donât know it canât. Anything we go through in life, we can use to grow. I personally believe we all could benefit embracing the archetypal energy of The Fool a bit more. The Fool doesnât stop to worry what other people will think! The Fool does not fret about what ifâs! The Fool is in the moment!
