With the exception of sport parks (and only during practice/games) I don’t see many folks just hanging out, walking around, flying kites, riding bikes, etc. I see so much when I take my dog to run around Or just sit to complete puzzles in my fill it ins or word search books. For example look at this cutie discovery from yesterday! I also found a little Toy truck whose bed raises. Sneak some wine and snacks and go read under a shady tree.

I’m lucky enough to live in a city that has over 200 parks, of all shapes and sizes. my favorite being the one within walking distance of my apartment with this great lake next to it. The lake features a 3 mile walking/biking loop and lots of grass. I often rollerskate around the lake for exercise! But, lately, i’ve been reminded of the simple pleasure that is picnicking here. In the bright ass sun! go with ur bff or s/o or on ur own. being around people in public is sometimes fun??? And sweet to witness humans bein human and enjoying the beautiful day too wtf??

Also known to use folded post notes and receipts. In cooking magazines and books I’ll use scraps of paper I rip to mark what I’m interested in.
