Someone I barely know gave me the kindest compliment I have ever received and it made me realize how important it is to let people know how much you appreciate them. and be specific
people should always know if you think that their hair looks good today, that they had a really good idea in the meeting, that their shoes are cool, that they are a good friend, that you love them etc.
Recently my favorite compliments to give have been to describe someone by saying βto know them is to love themβ or, after hanging out with a friend, i like telling them that it was the highlight of my day/week/month. of course I only say these things when I mean it.
