i have chronic sleep problems and like probably a decade ago this app had a big sale of like idk $15 for a lifetime membership so i got that and then i forgot about the app until like 2020. they revamped it a few yrs ago and it’s amazing. sleep stories, guided meditations, customizable noise machine, sleep tracker + gradual alarm… it’s perfect

No idea if it’s niche, but Moodistory has been a good app for me. Does one thing and does it well. Simple to use, but customizable. And no trackers!
There’s a paid version but the free one has been enough for me.

i open it, wait for it to load (delayed gratification), swipe the top refs, like them, check out the accounts their from, might follow, see what the people i follow are posting, search up new music or something random (all on my own accord, no algorithm, no doomscrolling) find something actually cool that i bookmark/add to a list to check out (which i do check out), either leave the app satisfied or make a silly little post and then leave the app with no urge to keep scrolling or looking, happy with my time spent
