i open it, wait for it to load (delayed gratification), swipe the top refs, like them, check out the accounts their from, might follow, see what the people i follow are posting, search up new music or something random (all on my own accord, no algorithm, no doomscrolling) find something actually cool that i bookmark/add to a list to check out (which i do check out), either leave the app satisfied or make a silly little post and then leave the app with no urge to keep scrolling or looking, happy with my time spent

i don’t want to add multiple photos because i love how simple and light the feed is and i’d hate to see it turn into another overwhelming social media space, i also like the fact that i can’t see numbers on here, no one is bragging about their followers number or waiting for someone to follow them back because there ’s nothing to track that with.. i love everything on here except for how slow it is to respond most of the time but it’s not that big of a deal i feel like we really need to slow down and stop excessively scrolling

I’m not someone who ever really posted on Facebook or anything anyway, so a while back I just deleted the apps finally and was looking for better alternatives and found someone talking about this app!
I love it, I find it so much more engaging, it’s not full of chain posts, fake stories, ai, old people believing and sharing literally everything💀, etc. I use it more than I ever did Facebook but it’s also the perfect balance because it’s not an app I spend time doomscrolling on either, I kind of just pop on sometimes lol.

im usually the type of person to doomscroll on ig all the time when bored but only ever post on my main acc like once a month at most. (however I have a bad habit of posting to my spam FAAAARRR too much whether it be photo dumps or memes on the story)
but! as of late (and as of late I mean this past week) I have been trying to reduce ig-use by downloading the screenzen app to reduce the amount of time spent uselessly on ig and replace it if need be with scrolling on pifyi since there is only so much I can do on here at a time without getting bored or needing to wait till more ppl get on at a later point if that makes sense. its just slower and more personal over here which is better for a lot of reasons and makes the time spent on social media on my phone more worthwhile! I def dont think that is exactly what u were asking but ehhh thats my two cents bestie :)

you should not be able to give a song a "score" per-say
I mean in certain cases yea but it just stigmatizes music from being listened to because one critic just didn't like it!
i think there should be a sort of sticker system:
- gold star if you loved it
- garfield sticker if it was nice
- thumbs up if it was good
- encouraging "keep trying!" sticker if it was meh
- sad face if you didn't like it
- you decide the sticker if you hated it
