didn't have a lot of friends in 2nd grade, but I had anger issues and Kingdom Hearts 2. it's pretty strange looking back that I took the stuff missing from my relationships in real life and projected it all into a game about friendship.
i replay it once every couple of years, the game holds up very well. it's my favorite game of all time, arguably one of the greatest games of all time, and arguably the only game where mickey mouse says "door to darkness" and beats the shit out of anime characters. there's only 3-ish kingdom hearts games still worth playing and this is one of them. the soundtrack is tied for my favorite game soundtrack. jesse mccartney, hayden panettier, and haley joel osment make up the stacked voice cast.
playing this game today takes me back to that lonely (and frankly demented) kid who just loved to explore that world.
