this is the first time any of my work has ever been published, I haven’t actually told any of my family or friends yet because it’s a rather personal piece (and I don’t think it’s very good. But like take this as your sign to put what you do out into the world and to check out this issue because it’s great.

🧘i am not particularly religious but the serenity prayer has always struck me as incredibly sage and powerful. there are variations on the wording but the general idea is:
god grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change, the courage to change what i can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
