I did and am glad that I did. The education and my career are enjoyble to me. The worst prt for me was looking for the job and getting hired. I am in an industry where it is not uncommon for interviews to be 3+ rounds and i am not very good at interviews. My advice would be to plan it out and have a support system and ideally some money or somewhere low cost to live or whatever bc it may take longer than you anticipate to land a role. Looking for a job is a full time job.

make a financial plan. calculate and minimize your expenses to understand how long you can last comfortably with the money you have now. ask yourself — what if i can’t find a job for 3 months? 6 months? a year? it doesn’t have to be concrete, but having an idea of what you will do in these situations can make it a lot less stressful. as those dates come closer, iron out your plans and make sure you are following them. if something isn’t working, go back to the drawing board and try again. take a look at and polish up your resume — do you have the experience, skills, certifications, and/or portfolio to get a new job in the market? if not, do what you can to build your portfolio and get certified within your budget. make an app or tool using technologies or frameworks that are in demand and put it on your resume. do some open source contributions. aim to get certifications for tools/technologies you are seeing a lot on the jobs you are applying for. the important thing here is to start preparing now and be ready for almost anything that could happen within reasonable expectations. being fully honest the job market for IT sucks right now but having this stuff in mind and executing it correctly will put you ahead of many other candidates. i was in a similar situation a few months ago, and having this sort of plan made me so much less stressed switching jobs. wishing the best for you

I graduated with a degree that i def should’ve applied to grad school with - instead I went right into the workforce and hated where I ended up so I just started to upskill and build a modest portfolio of any kind of work I was skilled at to get a job. I for sure hit up old friends from college to help me network and find something that fit and it’s paid off - you really do have to light a fire under your own ass and look at people in a very transactional light as far as giving you resources/time/opportunity and be hopeful and perhaps delusional enough for it to work don’t treat this as a temporary thing, don’t get lost in the sause!

A YouTube photographer, Madison Beach, once set herself the goal of getting 50 or 100 rejections from her photo submissions in one year. Try thinking of applying for jobs the same way. Look at every application or interview as a step toward a goal in and of itself. Even the most qualified person is going to apply to dozens of jobs before getting a position. Each application represents another step on that path. Every interview makes you more prepared for the next. I’ve also heard the advice that you should want to uncomfortable in any new job because that means you are challenging yourself and giving yourself the opportunity to learn and get better. This is easy for me to say, harder for someone to follow!
