whenever i'd wander too far off and lose sight of my mom, i'd instantly start to panic. i figured i'd never see here again and would be condemned to a life on the streets. when she did eventually find me, however, i'd feel a profound sense of relief. even to this day i've never experienced such a concentrated feeling of reassurance as when i was reunited with my mom. as soon as i saw her face all of my concerns and worries would immediately just melt away
