Just saw a girl from my lecture get dropped off by her mom and it made me so emotional. She waited in the same spot till her daughter walked completely away and watched the entire time. Such a raw feeling it is to think about your parent tending to you like a kid even as an adult. It was so beautiful, shoutout moms

Something I didn’t fully understand when I became a mother is really how much extra mental load you take on each time you have a kid. It is really so much logistical shit to keep track of. I am one of six, and my mom did a fantastic job of all of that stuff. We were always well fed, our home always clean, we always were on time for all the various things we each were doing. And it really was all her- at most, my dad was basically just following her orders. Her love language is definitely acts of service and every time she comes to visit I have to remind her to relax because she’s always trying to do stuff for us 😂
I love a lot of things about being a mom, but simply getting to know my children and building a strong relationship with them is so joyous and rewarding every day 💗

i love my mom so much and miss her already (i flew back yesterday) it feels so good to treat my mom to a nice dinner and gush and compliment her and laugh and dine. crying typing this. i love my 5’0 feisty silly beautiful little mama so bad.

I know I’ve already shared that I witnessed the cutest moment in public but it’s happened again. Grabbed ice cream with friends after the beach where I saw this elderly couple enjoying ice cream cookie sandwiches together. They were playing with their cookies while laughing and smiling so much. They were having the best time ever and you could definitely tell they’ve enjoyed growing together. Witnessing that gave me a reality check to my fear of aging, and made me see how getting older can be such a beautiful thing that we take for granted, especially when you get to grow with someone you love. It was the most sweetest moment to end the perfect day.

Getting to live as the same time as these creators feels like a blessing in disguise to spark that creative drive in one. Isn’t it so cool that people actually create their own tools to produce the kind of sounds that they want others to hear and experience?
