so for background i was born and raised in morningside heights near columbia university. i was on a first date and i was telling them about my neighborhood and how i think it's kind of been ruined by "columbia kids." they asked me to explain and i went on this whole rant about the spirit of the neighborhood not being compatible with their vibe, blah, blah. they don't seem to understand but they aren't from the city so i figure whatever and keep it pushing. at the end of the night i say, "i'd love to hang again" and they respond, "i don't think so. i don't date racists." and i'm like "what?" and they say, "i don't know what you have against Colombians but i think you really need to examine where that toxicity is coming from inside of you." they disappeared into their apartment before i could even respond :(
