Fallout
New Vegas was truly a work of art with the storytelling and the DLC‘s. So much freedom.
I’ve put well over 1,000 hours into Fallout 4, even now I have a super modded save I play from time to time.
In case you’re wondering, yes, I did like the show.

taterhole The ending as it pans to New Vegas made me audibly yell. It’s interesting now because the New Vegas game came out in 2010 and had 3 different endings — with the show moving to New Vegas, the writers are going to have to decide what ending is canon. My little nerd heart can’t wait for that + cannot wait to see the fandom freak out when they’re unhappy with the canonized ending.

heydiego I’d highly recommend playing it if you can. The only downside is the graphics are so, so dated. But the story is rich and challenging and it’s the only game that’s ever made me sit and morally think through decisions.

All are like novels (of varying quality) or something wholly new. And worth the gajillions of hours they take.
Also Saints Row 3. not for the easily offended (if you want to like video games you have to ignore the misogyny) but obnoxiously fun.

Telltale’s TWD is one of the best video games ever made
*spoilers if you haven’t played/watched it yet obvi
Just rewatched all of The Walking Dead video game S1-4 and my god I was reminded again as to why I love it so much. The storytelling and simply the way this game makes you feel is unlike any other. I knew what was gonna happen at the end of S1 and it still didn’t make it any less earth-shatteringly heartbreaking. Truly a one of a kind experience.

I feel like there’s a special connectivity on this app that I haven’t felt in a long time, maybe since early 2010’s tumblr. The fact that you can’t promote yourself like IG is wonderful. The fact that there isn’t mass video content like Tik Tok is great. It’s not this monetized / paid sponsorship app. People are here because they want to be a part of something with nothing to gain besides friendship. Seeing the URL -> IRL meetups warms my heart so much (waiting for an NYC or Brooklyn meetup).
Thanks for your participation on this niche little app. I smile reading all the recs and all the comments and all the asks. Hope we’ll all be here for a long time.

In all seriousness — weird that an app I downloaded in April would make genuinely want to drive back into Brooklyn during end of day traffic for a happy hour. Great app filled with great people.

Just appreciating your pi.fyi feed
I think a life rule for me is to surround myself with people who know more / are smarter / are cooler than me and just absorb their aura by listening / observing them. It’s made me the incredibly smart / cool person you all know and love. I just never thought I’d feel the same way about URL friends. I’m constantly listening to the songs I see posted here, reading the articles, subbing to newsletters, and googling topics that get tossed onto the feed. It’s nice to know you can become a more rounded person by just absorbing what your mutuals post on here. I’m going to sit on my couch, have a cocktail and digest my lovely feed. Happy Sunday!
