I think a life rule for me is to surround myself with people who know more / are smarter / are cooler than me and just absorb their aura by listening / observing them. Itās made me the incredibly smart / cool person you all know and love.
I just never thought Iād feel the same way about URL friends. Iām constantly listening to the songs I see posted here, reading the articles, subbing to newsletters, and googling topics that get tossed onto the feed.
Itās nice to know you can become a more rounded person by just absorbing what your mutuals post on here. Iām going to sit on my couch, have a cocktail and digest my lovely feed. Happy Sunday!

it's impossible not to come out of this app as a more knowledgeable person. whether it's a simple rec or people writing mini op-eds on things they're passionate about, we're all tapping into this massive, unfettered pool of interesting information and discourse that's coming from people from all walks of life. it's absolutely wonderful and such a powerful resource. really appreciate all of you š

Im literally preaching to the choir on this but I feel the need to publicly declare how good this app is. I feel better about civilization when I see new ppl joining this site. I think social media has been a net negative for humans, but the internet has been a massive positive, and pi.fyi is a perfect example for today. The creators are tapped in to Laker Brady. This may seem trivial but I think itās indicative of what the community means and values. Zuck is def bumping Flo rida instrumentals, the Spotify best of classical playlist, or 450hz god tone chakra tickling drone music to enhance his performance. that difference tells me all i need to know

As pi.fyi gains popularity I notice more and more people using it like twitter/trying to hit an algorithm/ātweetdeckingā recs/memeing
so incongruent to me because pi truly feels like a place of respite from all the aforementioned internet behavior. using it to identify and share small joys from your day, talk about things you want more of in your life, share about yourself, explore things youāre curious about ā¦ I promise thatās āgood contentā. š«¶

I feel like thereās a special connectivity on this app that I havenāt felt in a long time, maybe since early 2010ās tumblr. The fact that you canāt promote yourself like IG is wonderful. The fact that there isnāt mass video content like Tik Tok is great. Itās not this monetized / paid sponsorship app. People are here because they want to be a part of something with nothing to gain besides friendship. Seeing the URL -> IRL meetups warms my heart so much (waiting for an NYC or Brooklyn meetup).
Thanks for your participation on this niche little app. I smile reading all the recs and all the comments and all the asks. Hope weāll all be here for a long time.

In all seriousness ā weird that an app I downloaded in April would make genuinely want to drive back into Brooklyn during end of day traffic for a happy hour. Great app filled with great people.
