I love this version so much more than the Springsteen original. Some may say it’s corny, but I learned this song by friends playing it and singing along, and the pacing is so much nicer in the Band version.

🎱A whole album of Springsteen covers that puts the emphasis on the poetry and melody of his werk. I could only do Nebraska before but this opened by ears, mind, and heart to The Boss. Only available on YouTube, they will never get those permissions but dear lord, this is a no skips work of art. Tougher Than the Rest is my song but everything is so beautifu.

I grew up listening to this version and thought it was the original, then when I was 18 or 19 I heard the original by Seals and Crofts and thought “Where’s the soul? Where’s the pizzazz? Where the guitar solo?!?!”

🍲I’m a project manager for a prepared food company, and the majority of the projects I work on are soup. We’re mostly private label, so we make the store brand soups in the deli section for most of the big grocery stores.

🥽for a while, I thought that to be anyone of substance, value, recognition, etc. you had to have a distinct personal brand. What a load of hooey. It definitely had a lot to do with Instagram, and like admiring people for having that persona that people know who you are without actually having to know you. it’s really depressing and sincerely unattainable for me. I now am very happy being off Instagram and doing whatever, without wondering how it looks.
