ground zero for lo-fi hip hop. this was my everything in 2016. Some people may listen and think eh i've heard it all before but it's special to me ok. The samples he used on this were like a rosetta stone to so much other culture; Bjƶrk, Chet Baker, Cowboy Bebop, so random but like THANK YOU dude.

It was just Yeat + Nigerian Pop. Nigerian Pop is experiencing a renaissance rn. Thereās this guy Ruger who sings lyrics like āIām a million reasons why we canāt workā in Red Flags, a song about how heās a walking red flag. He also sings, āGirl, I am waywardā in the song Girlfriend. I can really relate to these lyrics. What can I say about Yeat. In the song Rockstar he says āI just turned down a deal, I make money stillāā¦ honestly, same. āI just bought a building cause I want oneā lowkey thats the type of shii I be on as of late. āI get numb ācause Iām dumbā me too bro šÆ

Felt BLESSED and PROSPEROUS to cap off this year with Extra Smallās (duo composed of Jae and Levy) album Tears. So legit, clever as hell. Chic as fuck, experimental hip hop/electronic ushering in a new vibe shift TL;DR THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO HEAR AT THE CLUB. Production so satisfying and hard-hitting that it scratches an itch I didnāt know I had. GTA radio glamour. Oversized sunglasses on. Iām walking around listening to it, clipping shoulders and stepping on heels. Highlights for me are the single track Balmain, Pony, and Toi Et Moi. Iām Trouble when this comes onĀ insert skull emoji insert crying emoji ETC

love the idea of giving out a bunch of cameras and just letting guests go ham with whatever pics they find most important, whether intoxicated or sober. you miss so many little moments as bride/groom, when youāre essentially just the centrepiece for a large event. but being able to witness these intimate bits of joy from loved ones, even though you werent able to directly participate, is beautiful nonetheless imo

@sunnyschinese ā hidden spot tucked away in kensington, a bit overpriced but the ambiance is soooo lovely and so is the staff.

what is suffering and what is it to art? how does one find the joy of creation and is that joy enough? impressive performance from fassbender despite barely seeing his face. watched it for the first time in 2018 with a brand new group of friends i thought iād have forever. that group has since spectacularly imploded, but i watch this movie every few years to commemorate them and the new friends iāve made since.
