the perfect third place. love the fun chats afterwords. nobody is really left out of conversation bc we all just experienced the exact same thing in unison. just an exchange of thoughts, feelings and ideas.
also a place that kinda forces you to completely sit and focus in on whatās in front of you. something i think most of us forget to make time for.. especially if you are someone like me, always on the move and maybe always a little distracted.
what movie will you be watching at the theatres next? maybe iāll watch it too and we can have a chat about it all on the virtual plain :)

i know itās dinner and a movie but I like going to earlier screenings - then i have the time to debrief and analyse while the movieās still warm and fresh in my head during dinner or drinks.

truly no greater joy than picking the movie you want to see at a time you want to see it, eating your own popcorn and settling into a dark cinema seat. Itās the best viewing experience to be off your phone, not thinking about anything but the image in front of you.

i agree to a certain extent. it depends on the delivery of the question as well.
most of the time you can tell if someone is genuinely interested in who you are as a person. asking about somebodyās job can provide a lot of insight into a personās interests and general character - i think itās fine for your job to be an aspect of your identity.
i could also tangent into why capitalism may have an influence on why this question is asked so frequently..
i do find myself struggling with gauging the intentions behind this question sometimes; which often makes me less emotionally open and usually filters a potential friendship into a professional/transactional relationship immediately.
