you might have read them already but I really loved them especially ender’s game when I was younger

Foundation Series, maybe dune (even if everybody is currntly hyping it the books are actually good), rendezvous with Rama

Hyperion by Dan simmons

A collection of heady short stories, similar to Ted Chiang, but set in the same galaxy. It was written to be like a sci-fi Canterbury Tales, so you get a little bit of everything. The follow up, The Fall of Hyperion, is also worth a read. I wouldn’t bother with the sequels after that.

Childhoods End by Arthur C Clarke

dude who wrote 2001. I dunno what to say except that it is one of the best sci-fi pieces or art i'v ever consumed.i like sci-fi as analogy / modern mythology. the most popular political critiques like star wars and matrix are subliminally about issues swept under the rug in mainstream discourse, but allowed and celebrated in fantasy setting, we see it explode with popularity.with real life or non-fiction we like to pretend things we don't like aren't happening, but we can face them in sci-fi.
