Itโ€™s been probably the most talked up show of the season so of course I had to take a 6am train in to line up for lottery.. Absolutely did not disappoint!! The production of this show has been so talked up, the lighting, choreography, and the jumbotron sized video screen. It blew my mind, the screen is something Iโ€™ve never seen in a show before and they utilized it to the fullest extent. The first scene that was really an extended opening credits gave me chills.. Tomโ€™s walk to start the second act was so amazing that Iโ€™m running out of adjectives already!! If youโ€™re in the city around 3:30 on a Wednesday or Saturday you *have* to watch it from the outside of St James.. Iโ€™m trying to figure out how I can go back in time to see it myself. I was sitting left orchestra so he walked right by me as he entered! Pic is from my seat, best seats Iโ€™ve had to a show even if they were slightly obstructed view.. If you can get rush those edge orchestras are usually blocked off for it so go for it!! All of the action happens downstage anyways so it was fine, I missed nothing important aside from Nicoleโ€™s first entrance as she came on stage from that side.. and to talk about Nicoleโ€ฆ WOW! Shoo in for the Tony this year. Her opera background really shines through, I have no idea how she has the stamina to give that performance 8 times a week. The story was solid, not the greatest ever but the performances and production (of course) really brought it to life.. The last segment of the show was also some of the most uncomfortable Iโ€™ve been in a theater in the best way.. really did not predict the resolution happening the way it did. I really donโ€™t go to a lot of shows so I try to pick out the ones Iโ€™ll enjoy the best or are most well reviewed and this was another success in that regard. If you can go you should go sooner than later as things only get busier from here now that Tony nominations are out !

or junk journaling, if you'd like to not perpetuate myths about crows liking to collect trinkets. i just think it sounds cuter weirdly, as someone who's a writer, i've never really been good at or liked journaling. every planner i've ever owned has remained empty. if i try to write something any time other than when the fancy strikes me, it just feels inauthentic, like i'm trying too hard. this has been the first time journaling actually felt like it had a purpose for me, and actually felt weirdly therapeutic basically, it's just anything i can recycle, i make into a page. i like a common theme, so places i've visited, media i like, similar aesthetics, emotions i'm feeling. and then we get the qr code page & i'm reminded that this is probably the quintessential depiction of what scoring 121 on the RAADS-R looks like eh, i'm having fun๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

"I hate white. It pretends to be pure, yet can be dyed any shade. Itโ€™s the most seductive color" whether it's the manga or the anime, both are excellent. josei by the creator of nana. yukari's in her senior year of high school, but she feels like she's missed out on life after spending most of hers dedicated to school. she stumbles upon a group of fashion students running the atelier Paradise Kiss, or ParaKiss, who take her off her path and bring her into the world of high fashion. artsy angsty young adult hijinks ensue. coming of age existential crisis type shit. every flavor of disaster queer. absolutely beautiful art. this show has meant everything to me since i was a younger and it only feels more resonant with me as i've grown older. whole thing's up on youtube, could not rec enough
