spending the time picking out which accessories to add to an outfit + actually wearing little things that makes me feel more pulled together!
it’s easy to throw on a shirt and jeans without really thinking about it, but picking out jewelry, a hat, a scarf, sunglasses, hair clips/bows, etc makes me feel so much more in-the-zone.
bonus points bc it’s fun and can make a good outfit even better!

If you have a silhouette that makes you feel comfortable, try experimenting within that silhouette. Add a cool jacket or sweater. Experiment with shoes. Accessorize with scarves or hats (i have a tiny scarf addiction).
Once you find accessories that you love, you can carry them over into outfits that are further outside your comfort zone. If you're wearing something you would normally never wear, but you are also wearing your favorite bandana/hat/jacket/shoes, it's easier to feel like yourself.

Costume jewelry or belts or hats or whatever, accessories really work in upgrading a basic outfit, and you can switch it up pretty easily with a small budget.

as someone that’s more introverted, I find that making something my own by adding stickers, patches, embroidery, etc. is such a great idea. I’m so fond of adding things to different objects that I can connect with. it can also be nice to wear accessories that I already have a connection with. it makes for an easy conversation starter, and not only that, but it won’t feel like small talk since it’s something that you actually care about. I love seeing people wear things that connect them to the things that they love and it reminds me that I need to do that more often
