My tiktok algorithm is almost exclusively self-care and antifa and this is one thing that stood out from the barrage of messaging. Trying to break my habit of caring about/problem solving other peoples problems more than my own. Itâs hard! Theirs seem easier to solve!

i think we need to more genuinely care about people. so much of how we interact with or rather criticise people nowadays is excused by simple âcaringâ about someone meanwhile itâs the rudest comment ever. if you really cared about someone in a genuine kind sort of way you wouldnât say something to insult someone. basically what iâm referring to is the commenters on instagram reels or tiktok on random peoples posts doing like completely unrelated stuff then theyâll just out of nowhere say something like âthis isnât healthyâ or any comment related to their weight or how they look. and theyâd excuse themselves in a way as if they were looking out for the person and warning them of health risks when theyâre really just being horrible and wanting an excuse that makes them seem nice and caring.
unprovoked unkind comments on someoneâs looks or weight will never be âcaringâ, you donât know this person!!! i think to be caring you need to consider someoneâs feelings and i donât mean acknowledging that someone might get upset about a comment you make, but acknowledging and caring that what you say might upset them so not saying it

3. not considerate or empathetic.

Realized I was taking the nonspecific, unpersonalized, marketable advice on reels to heart during a hard time. Get off reels ! Talk to your mom, your friend, your therapist, not content creators.
