Sorry Iām doing 2 rec answers to this ask but I loooved this series in middle school. Itās about a dystopian society where kids grow up as āugliesā until they turn 15 or 16 when they undergo an extensive plastic surgery procedure to become āprettiesā and live in a different area of the city. I love a dystopian society moment.
Netflix is adapting the first book into a movie starring Joey King. I have no idea when itās coming out but I canāt wait

if youāre an enemies to lovers fan itās greatāplus i love period pieces. if you donāt want to read it, the tv series with collin firth IS SO GOOD!!!!!!!! itās by the book and just so much better than the movie

very long read, complex story. my favorite book. before i even finished reading it i knew iād decide to read again one day. without spoiling iāll say it involves twin brothers and absolutely expanded my perspective of loveā¦was made into a limited series as well, which is fun
