Americas very diverse not only in population but also geographically. You could spend your entire life in the north east and 10 states will have at least something above average or at least acceptable in terms of food, people, geography, transportation, and seasons.

access to quality healthcare with insurance (my family doctor in Quebec died and I was put on a years long waiting list, needed difficult to get referrals for everything, couldn’t afford medications on provincial drug plan), bigger job market, higher salaries, cheaper alcohol, better sushi, better and cheaper selection in drugstores. A very different place to live materially

it’s an easy thing to hate but at the end of the day i love america so much. like it’s so big and has so many cities and farms and people and sometimes i’m just like struck by an immense amount of gratitude and it’s like holy fuck i live here.

40-60 year old people get laid off daily after 15+ years in an industry and have to restart. You’re too young to even know life’s all about restarting and it’s all relative. Fall in love with the process of learning and it’ll never be scary. You might even end up loving what you pivot too. You’ll be fine.
