🕰• Pocoyo (taught me about drawing, space and perspective).
• Scooby Doo. I feel like this show in particular is really old school in terms of it having no lore behind it. It’s the same pattern for every episode and I think it’s kind of like a Time Machine of what used to be for children’s shows.
• American Dragon: Jake Long. Used to watch a lot before going to school. The plot was so enthralling.
• The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. Loved the dark humor incorporated into it.
• Phineas & Ferb. Catchy songs, a platypus and humans with weird heads.
•The Powerpuff Girls. Need I say more?
Movies:
• Anastasia (1997). Kickstarted my obsession with the Romanovs. Lead me to google wayyyy to young what had happened to Anastasia in real life. That was bleak.
• Old Barbie movies. My favorites were The Princess and the Pauper, Rapunzel, Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus. Used to watch these all the time. They really incorporated the whimsy and made me want to live like a peasant in the medieval era under a monarchy.
• Ella Enchanted (2004).
• The Princess Diaries 1 & 2.
• Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan and JLC (2003).
• Hocus Pocus (1993).

🎥1. Bridge to Terabithia (2007) - I wanted to have my own little fantasy world down by the creek so bad. also I blame zooey deschanel in this movie for why I have a type
2. Star Wars Ep. III (2005) - bad dialogue be damned this movie goes so hard. clone troopers are cool and the Mustafar scene is incredible.
3. Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000) - I can’t believe (yes I can) that Disney retconned an already established Buzz Lightyear canon when they claimed Lightyear (2022) as the first Buzz Lightyear origin story. canonically this movie also existed in the Toy Story universe and is what the buzz action figure was based on. anyway it’s a super fun lil space adventure with some jokes that still hit.
4. The Brainiacs.com (2000) - this is the kinda late 90s early 2000s kids rule parents drool type media that needs to come back. we need more kids making rube goldberg machines and becoming smart toy entrepreneurs out of their bedrooms

Low heat, 45 fuckin minutes. I’m not playin w you.
Use gruyere cheese
Make a compound butter with my girlies: thyme and rosemary and their dude garlic.
Slather that butter on two pieces of sourdough. Both sides, I shouldn’t even have to tell you this.
Cook up some bacon!!!
Add a tomato.
If you’re feeling froggy…truffle powder.
Get to work.

It’s black history month. Support your black friends and learn the origin of like every American popular musical genre everrr.
Once I’m done with the 40 + genres, we’re diving into the diasporaaaa.
And then at some point I’m talking cash shit about the summer of love and what was cooler than stinky trust fund kids…I mean hippies in San Francisco... I’ll give you some hints, same time period but across the bridge in Oakland. There’s also 1980s Washington DC, fuck it even 1960s Detroit. I just really fucking hate the Grateful Dead fans. Sorry. Not sorry.
Perfect listening for cleaning the house and doing art projects.

🪴You SHOULD be rinsing your rice before you cook it.
But if you aren’t today is the PERFECT day to start.
Rinse your rice in cold water to get the starch off it, agitate the rice. save that milky colored water in a large container. Keep rinsing the rice until it’s clear.
Cook your rice and eat it.
Let the rice water sit overnight so that the hard minerals evaporate.
You can dilute the rice water with more reg water to dilute it (like if you have HELLA plants like I do) but stir it up bc it might settle.
(You can either add filtered water OR you can add more water before you let the hard minerals evaporate)
Now you have a natural and free fertilizer for your plants. Use it all in one day tho.
Repeat once a month, every other month or when your plant babies need some extra love especially during the winter months.
