You see the same trend being utilized everywhere but the only people who get it right are (yes, you guessed it) Librarians.
You didn’t know you needed it until, oops, you stumbled upon the Milwaukee Public Library tik tok and they are roasting and also paying a beautiful homage the Twilight novels to the tune of Billie Eilish’s melodical ballad “What Was I Made For” or something like that.
They deep down know your secrets and deepest fantasies and post them on a 10 second video. The videos swing and NEVER MISS! You’re thinking “wait how’s that possible?” If they know how to read a book, they certainly know how to READ YOU!
After they have pinpointed your soul, what do they do? They give you excellent content that makes you think, “Damn better book my next trip to Milwaukee Public Library and Thank them for their service,” 🫡because Librarians are by the people, for the people!

i think people don’t utilize their local libraries enough when they’re such wonderful resources!
one of my favorite things to stem from the library and library cards is the app “libby”! it’s an amazing way to get free books, audiobooks, and magazines digitally.
completely free if you have a library card (which are also totally free!)
go support your local library!

I don’t know if people are aware that you can easily borrow ebooks and audiobooks through your public library using this app. Also, I just recommend the library in general.

Truly underrated. I worked at a library for a couple years after college and it was maybe the best working experience I’ve ever had. Community, baby!
There’s so much on offer besides books too. Movies, music, video games, audiobooks, local history, free internet, printers, smells (good and bad). A library card is like a black Amex for people with personalities.

Pffft. Instead. Stay home for the holidays and tell your family you’ll be visiting in January when the flights are nearly empty and the ticket prices are criminally cheap.

Im a grown ass adult and STILL am shocked At these plot twists and social commentary!
Plus everytime I carry one of these books I’m reading, I always get a wonderful comment from a stranger. Which is fun
