I saw them at Bonnaroo. I was there for the Aha Shake Heartbreak songs. 🤘

when i was in high school i paid $800 to this band from warped tour to play a show in my living room and it was so fun an intimate and chill. after we ate pizza and donuts and played mario kart. 10/10 would do it again in a heartbeat. either that or 2014 when i saw the 1975 and grouplove play back to back at a festival.

hozier, death cab for cutie, of monsters and men, passion pit, vance joy, & walk the moon!!! VERY 2014 and it was also *just* before all these people were big enough to really do stadium tours too, so it the experience was great bc it was an amphitheater that didn’t feel overcrowded

I’m no longer 23 – and I haven’t been for a few years now – but this was a genuinely formative experience for me. It changed how I saw my own place in the world and it made me feel less stagnant and less pathetic – the second part of the movie, specifically. I hope every 23-(and 24, 25, 26 …)-year-old finds their own Chungking Express whenever they most need it. (That probably sounds corny, but I'm 100% sincere!)

A song that sounds as good now as it did back then. A perpetual banger.

These old radio broadcasts are perfect background noise. You’ll either zone out or feel like a spy.
