i broke down once because we had a team building exercise where we talked about family and it was like a few weeks after my dad died. it was ugly. i still want to quit when i think about it.

Like in a meeting with your creative director and project manager and whole team. when everyone talks about what they’re proud of in their personal lives you should cry actually it’s not unprofessional at all, and when it’s your turn you should deflect the question and express how proud you are of everyone else for being vulnerable

coming up with milestones to make aging feel less abysmal
all of my coworkers are older than me + constantly make comments like, “once you’re past 30 there’s no reason to keep track” (awesome vibes!)
ok but what if 33 is your jesus year (jesus was 33 when he was crucified on the cross; religious trauma heads rise up). what if 42 is your The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything year. THINGS CAN BE FUN
