I've been getting really into Lizzy McAlpine lately, ever since I heard her mentioned on Todd in the Shadows' Top Ten Hit Songs of 2023 list. Her first full album from 2020 is worth a listen if you like calm sad-girl folk-pop.
Trying to dispel the gatekeeper within me by sharing a small (ish?) artist I found a while ago. If you’re into soulful melancholy music that gives you a twist in your gut I highly recommend her album Lucid Dreams ! It feels reminiscent of Lizzy McAlpine’s five seconds flat so if you liked that album, I think you’ll like this one :) ⭐️ Top 3 songs:
1 - The 52
2 - Kansas City
3 - Nightmare Movie
i promise you won’t regret listening to this ep
one of my favourite singers ever (from scotland of COURSE) and she deserves all the love and support in the world
some beautiful folky acoustic stuff including some guitar and violin plus stunning vocals and songwriting it honestly has everything
If you haven't seen it already, "The Curse" with Nathan Fielder, Emma Stone, and Benny Safdie is absolutely brilliant. It's one of my most bizarre, difficult, and uncomfortable watches, but I highly recommend checking it out.
