Trying to dispel the gatekeeper within me by sharing a small (ish?) artist I found a while ago. If you’re into soulful melancholy music that gives you a twist in your gut I highly recommend her album Lucid Dreams ! It feels reminiscent of Lizzy McAlpine’s five seconds flat so if you liked that album, I think you’ll like this one :) ⭐️ Top 3 songs:
1 - The 52
2 - Kansas City
3 - Nightmare Movie
I've been getting really into Lizzy McAlpine lately, ever since I heard her mentioned on Todd in the Shadows' Top Ten Hit Songs of 2023 list. Her first full album from 2020 is worth a listen if you like calm sad-girl folk-pop.
I’m currently loving this album, Luna Li’s experimentation with sound and synth and classical instruments is so unique. I feel like a little fairy lounging on a bed of moss, biting into a ripe plum sparkling with dew.
I heard her music for the first time very recently in an episode of Too Much (https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=a_uqA02Vx5M&si=MiBMOlYRC5faRPrK) and I absolutely loved it—but she just released this gorgeous new album!! So dreamy I’m listening while I do some extremely frustrating editing work and it’s helping me survive lol
