nothing is harder than realizing you‘re in the wrong and having to apologize, even if it’s immediately then or a year later but sometimes you have to rip the bandaid off and find peace with the fact that you ultimately did the right thing at the end. whether they accept the apology or not, that’s not something you can control but at least, you admitted your wrongs

tbf i'm still working on this but: many ppl have the tendency to like, put themselves out in the world with an attached asterisk like "oop! sorry i exist! oop! sorry if you don't like me, i'm working on being the universally beloved human object! oop!" and thusly pre-apologize for every mildly annoying or perceptually uncouth action they will ever take. none of that shit. assuming one is regular and not trying to like, destroy the lives of everyone around themselves, one does not need to constantly explain and apologize for their actions. trust people to tell you if you suck, because They Will. same goes for art obvs. don't apologize just make it and if people think it sucks they'll tell you.

And forgiving. As soon as you recognize that you’re in the wrong, regardless of if you feel sorry, apologize. And as soon as a hatchet is surrendered, bury it. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Ask for mercy, ask for grace. Seventy times seven. Remember how much you’ve been forgiven. Make it right with your friend, with your enemy, with yourself, with God.

So sweet to send them to thank them for your shared experience, and I’d much rather look at one of these than ten pics from that day

go to events even if u think they’ll be iffy - better to have some memories of living life than none, go to library, go sit on the nearest grass also u can’t expect good arts and culture if u don’t support the bad/amateur stuff as well 🦀

Eg in shower, on walks, during commute, making dinner, to go to sleep, getting dressed. be able to do all these comfortably in silence. then u can try phase them back in in a way where they actually contribute something and ur not just listening for the sake of it
