🎥A wonderful musical with an all child cast (including a young Jodi Foster, filmed the same year as Taxi Driver!) lip synching to songs sung by adults-- and the songs are actually all stand alone greats! As a tween all you want is to cosplay as an adult, making a movie that does just that (esp. one that includes guns and boxing and bootlegging and cabarets) is soooo genius. I watch this once a year and have the soundtrack on vinyl. I was reminded of it again recently because one of my coolest friends posted a screenshot of it on Instagram and it was the first time I've seen another adult express Bugsy knowledge/adoration. For a while it was mad hard to find but lucky for you it's now available via shitty rip on Youtube (linked above). Great snow day viewing!
