So I have a pretty small room in Chinatown. I live in a 5 bedroom apartment with a Chinese family. The youngest child (3 or 4 idk) will occasionally growl/yell for minutes on end. The growling fits put me in a delirium. To help clear my mind today I walked around the neighborhood without my phone and it was real good. There's a sort of fresh rainy feel in the air today in NYC. If you can you should walk outside into your neighborhood with nothing in your pockets and breathe in that air. Clear your head baby.

Going on a walk without listening to music and better yet without my phone washes my brain clean. itโs a sort of version of meditation to me. I canโt meditate for more than 3 minutes but I can do this for an hour. It makes me feel like a real person amongst other people. I also tend to remember Iโm a whole body with arms and legs and not just a brain. it gives me time for my brain to go empty or to think about something I didnโt realize I was trying to ignore.

I usually have headphones on all the time but recently I started doing my morning routine and walking outside without them, and itโs so peaceful. Sometimes your nervous system just needs nothing at all lol.

Walk without distractions. No phone or headphones. Really observe everything in the world around you. Especially if youโre lucky enough to live in a big city like New York. I once looked for items of a different specific color every day on my way to work for a few weeks. It was the most I ever enjoyed my commute ๐๐

Recently I got a boring job. A service job. I work at Joe & The Juice in the financial district. I charged someone 8$ today for two bottled waters. Criminal, federal. Working at Joe & The Juice as a juicer has really -drained me. I recommend bringing your Nintendo Switch to work with you and after you get off work and you're on the train home, play some good ol' classic Super Monkey Ball. Feels so good.

One of my favorite artists since I found him. His music is like bass boosted goth monster truck horror movie vibes. He's usually hissing or whispering on beats. His lyrics can be really cryptic as well. So the combination of those two things make it that you may never know what he's actually saying in his songs. He has so many mixtapes and albums it's so unhinged. He has a music video called Egoist that was edited by the SEMATARY crew so you know the whole video is edited in 200+ definition mode and takes place deep in the woods. He's from Canada and he's pretty active on instagram and sometimes his stories are really concerning (drug addiction, mental health etc.) but I root for him and I love his art so much.
