Summer on the east coast has been scorchin' and I haven't really threw on pants, but when I do, my go to has been Gramicci's classic G-Pants. I've owned a black pair for about 5+ years now and they basically last forever. I keep going back to them because they're timeless and it's really the all-occasion pants. It's that pair of pants you kinda throw on you don't know if you're just gonna be chillin' or goin' on a spontaneous hike.

I'm partial to Gramicci, had a black pair of pant (I think they're literally just called pant) as my daily drivers for the past 4 years, no signs of slowing down. Built in belt to boot! Their cuts lean on the baggier side usually but some nice straight cut options too. A touch gorpy but never had any complaints round the office.

I own this pant in 3 colors. It leaves nothing to be desired. I need garments to fit perfectly no matter how bloated or starved I am, so the adjustable belted waist is essential. Sturdy and deep pockets. Ideal leg width. Gusseted crotch for comfort and to avoid unbecoming lumpiness. Great weight of cotton twill perfect for cuffing or not. Under $100. no notes.

Patagonia Baggies — classic and usable as a bathing suit if needed; cross genre too, worn by graphic designers who rock climb after work and frat bros at parties. That’s range. GAP 90’s Carpenter shorts — new creative direction at GAP is crushing it, especially with their throwbacks. Loose + right at the knee + zero stretch gives authentic carpenter dad vibes. Cookman Chef Shorts — The Bear really did make chef-core cool. Cookman makes utilitarian clothing that performs well but doesn’t make you look like a nerd. The drawstring waistband gives you some comfort for biking too. Gramicci Shell G-Short — lightweight and durable, these are comfortable for all day wear in the city or a long hike. The cinched belt makes adjustments super easy. Friends have said they’re super easy to clean too (strange selling point but sure).

I’ve never been to Disney as a kid and as I grew older I always felt like I was too old for it. I spontaneously tagged along with my family the day before they left and I think that was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and Avatar, and even as an adult I think I had the best week of my life and I felt like a kid again. I legitimately had real tears of joy on some of the rides. It’s never too late!

While everyone is raving about their trendy nonstick pans, I’m here to bring the spotlight back to cast iron cookware. There’s a huge stigma around how hard it is to take care of cast irons, but it’s really not bad! You just gotta keep using it, and over time, it basically becomes nonstick. This article has sent off a tangent, and now I am a proud owner of a well-seasoned cast iron pan and griddle.

Antique shops have a special place in my heart because it reminds me of my childhood road trips. When I was little, I always thought antique shops were just useless junk. As I grew older, I’ve learned to appreciate the “junk” a bit more. Browsing through the aisles, they kind of feel like a time machine. My top things to look out for are vintage cameras, dutch ovens, and vintage porcelain.
