This is like the evil twin version of feeling proud of yourself in a traditionally wholesome way. Iām talking about doing something hard so that afterward you can walk around feeling better than everyone else. Itās fun to hate on those types of people, but occasionally itās fun to be them.
The type of challenge isn't really important. We could be talking about writing an email or climbing a literal mountain. What matters is that it doesnāt come easy.
One time I went to a 5:30 AM workout class and I was high on my own supply for the rest of the day.

šiāve been slowly getting into fitness over the past year and it was a real lightbulb moment for me when i started doing more intensive workouts (as opposed to only yoga/pilates) bc they are wildly more gratifying, physically and mentally. turns out the confidence and motivation you get from doing hard things is what makes u actually wanna continue working out.
iām now more active than ever and it feels great!!!

I feel a bit like picrel doing this but the evil thing is that it actually works. Endorphins linger all day, makes everything so much more tolerable. Will never be a morning routine grindset influencer but this is as close as I'm gonna get

I just watched āFace/Offā for the first time a few days ago and feel like Iāve filled a void in my life that I wasnāt even aware of. If you like a heavy dose of action in your comfort cinema, I highly recommend. Like most movies from the 90s, not everything has aged well but cast aside your modern judgments for a bit and just enjoy Nicolas Cage doing The Most.

šBetter food and beaches than the Cyclades islands most people flock to and less expensive overall. Thereās plenty for history buffs (Knossos Palace) and old town Chania is beautiful and romantic to walk around. I recommend renting a car to drive around and explore (just get an international drivers license before you leave) or else thereās public transit. The tavernas also give complimentary dessert and a shot of raki after dinner. This might be customary throughout the rest of Greece also, but the hospitality in Crete was outstanding. If this one big island isnāt enough for you, you can day trip to other smaller surrounding islands or little coastal fishing villages via ferry. 10/10 destination, seriously look into it
