I don't think I have a current photo that is my fave, but at one point this was the most photogenic picture I'd taken. I hadn't cut my hair all year because I wasn't going to salons and had thrown out my clippers so a buzzcut was a no-go, and I looked more feminine and "pretty". I often struggle with feeling good in my presentation genderwise vs looking attractive and feeling like I have to choose one or the other. I want to like a picture of me now as much as I liked this one, without any weird "this looks so good but it doesn't look like *me*" feelings.

i haven’t taken a selfie in forever because i’ve been severely burnt out and anxious and processing trauma and generally feeling too vulnerable to see myself on camera. but a friend at the grocery store where we work gave me a pretty flower from the floral department so i had to memorialize this lil glimmer of joy

Graduating with a b.a. in english
bc it’s what I originally wanted when I first went to college at 17 but I was scared to make writing my job and got a B.S. in Nutrition instead lol
Now the goal is an eventual PhD in Victorian Literature but I’m just happy to have made it through this part at 32!
