VISITING MY BOYFRIEND'S WORK

i love hearing him talk about the passion he has for his craft - and seeing the heavy machinery he operates on the daily gives me a new fold in my tapestry of respect for blue collar folks.
it was also very silly meeting his 50+ old head coworkers that were very surprised young people took interest in such things!

feeling like a local

went to my favourite bar and ended up chatting with my favourite bartender for a while. the language barrier didn't feel like an issue anymore. the bar ran out of food but he said we are more than welcome to just get food from elsewhere and eat at the bar even after we finished our drinks. felt like I'm making connections and am being accepted as a local in the city.
also realised it was his birthday yesterday while my friend and i were leaving, so we wished him, but we're going back tomorrow with a cake for him cause he's always the sweetest :)

surprising your bud

our buddy doughydevin moved to the chicago area a few months ago, so on friday spike, peter, and i flew out to surprise him.
his girlfriend managed to get him to a hotel with a bag, and he had no idea we were there waiting
it was worth every penny.
tears were shed, memories were had.
love ur pals <3
