I’m going into my fifth year (fourth year was just an internship $$) and this is the first time I actually have to pick courses; until now they’ve always been assigned (huge mechanical engineering program). I’m feeling very lucky to 1) choose what I learn 2) choose how I learn 3) choose when I learn 4) learn. School can be very very very hard, but I’m secretly excited to go back

I remember starting undergrad I was incredibly stressed about financials/time-management I don’t think I truly processed a thing. Now that I can set the pace and keep my full time job, school ain’t so bad.
I love being a part-time student.

Did I apply as a quarter life crisis moment? Maybe a little but wow! I love school! I love being a student! Academia rocks! Getting to learn from experts is a treat and a privilege and it’s so nice!

okay Technically I must take summer classes because if I don't my federal aid gets taken away (I have to achieve 30 credits every year). However I chose the most random nonessential classes for it and I'm enjoying myself. Super excited for the ASL class, but I'm also taking abnormal psych (somewhat to take the piss out of it if it ends up being ableist) and introduction to game design. isn't that so cool? And I'm taking disability studies in the fall just to bump up my credits. Life is beautiful

My boyfriend came across these illustrations looking through a book of french fairytales (adorable) and thought I’d like them and I DO! They’re by Virgina Frances Sterrett and so so so dreamy.
