I’ve already answered this with Koudelka, but at number 2 is absolutely Weegee (Ascher Fellig). One of the best street photographers and an incredible eye into what NYC once was. An amateur who knew what’s best, he had an eye that most creatives would/should kill for.

📸Brian is one of the hardest working street film photographers in New York City. I love his ability to curate photo carousels with linear narrative themes. He captures authentic moments that happened just behind you. His work is a reminder that New York is alive and odd in all the right places when you aren’t looking. Sometimes when he leaves the Fantasy office in Williamsburg, he walks to Harlem just to take pictures along the way. I’ve seen some of his unreleased projects and you’ll be doing yourself a favor if you follow along too.

probably the best street photographer going right now in hollywood. His ability to be at the right place at the right time and capture a unique and memorable scene is really impressive. Most would be lucky to get even 1 one of these shots

A website with a collection of screengrabs from nearly every movie you could think of, and you can sort by film title, director, cinematographer, year, genre, country, etc. Great for visual references for lookbooks, or just to discover a new film you might be interested in seeing!

Just going out and picking up any kind of used physical media (books, CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes) makes the archivist in me happy, like I’m preserving somebody else’s story/ enjoyment of something
My personal favorite thing is VHS tapes, I’ve got a decent collection (all thrifted) and they’re usually the cheapest things offered
